I have finally started vlogging on YouTube (after 5 years of holding up to it)

I have always wanted to do YouTube videos. I think the video format is such an amazing medium to share your process, thoughts, - being an inspiration for others using different forms of emotional engagement - not only through a static image, but also with voice, music, movement.

It took me more than the 5 years from that initial idea to actually post my first ever video, where I show myself and talk to the camera. I have been already posting some videos before, but it were either sketchbook flip-throughs or process videos (timelapses) without any commentary.

That's why I treat it as a huge huge success that I finally was able to start posting - and believe me - I have so so many ideas, so much material to edit and to share with you.

It took me so so many tries to start feeling comfortable speaking to the camera. It was not easy at all. The amount of cringe, uncertainty and fear of judgement was skyrocketing over this time. I have never been satisfied enough.

But over the past years I have been randomly recording myself - trying to simply get comfortable - I probably won't use much or any of that material, but what I earned from it is breaking the fear of talking to the camera. So that I am even able to post this video today, showing you all of my different sketchbooks through past 10 years - it feels truly amazing and I really hope you enjoy watching and maybe get some inspiration out of it!

The other videos that I have published until now are vlogs of my painting adventures ( that I have sooo many, I only need to edit them!), and older videos from past years consist of some sketchbook flip throughs (without commentary) and process painting. Feel free to explore them on my channel !

Here is the first ever vlog I have published:

I haven't even planned to release this one as a first, but it just happened that I finished editing it and wanted to post straight away. I do a lot of things spontaneously and here it was no different : )

I am also having a lot of fun playing with editing, for example I thought it would be funny to treat mt vlogs a little bit like a RPG game character so I started to include things like quests, locations and items gathering notification, same as you would play a game (my inspirations are games like Assassin's Creed, The Witcher and Horizon Zero Dawn - all that I played myself)

These are coming from this video:

Which is a long introduction and setting for the process painting video of this painting:

I hope you enjoy watching so far, I am very commited to create more so make sure to follow me there on YouTube, click that bell button to get notified whenever something new comes up and please let me know if there are any topics/subjects you would like to see me making a video of! I am very very open and my inspiration comes often from people asking for stuff so please don't be shy and comment/write me :)

Cheers!!

Iga
