This painting is part of my #PleinAirpril Challenge adventures - when I was going out and painting every day for all 30 days of April. It became my routine and often it was a sunset as it was a last chance to catch some daylight. If it wasn't for the challenge, I probably wouldn't go out to paint that day as I really was not feeling most motivated and energized.

It took me a long time to find a spot which would be suitable for both - painting and some chill in nature. Hearing the clock ticking at the back of my head, I knew that the longer I take to find the *right* spot - the less time I would have to paint an image.

But as well I think I like to create under a bit of a time pressure - I also know that usually the colors of the sky/sunset get better the later it is.

This painting is also very important as it is the first travel pleinair painting that I have ever sold (previously it were only commissioned paintings)​​​
